Web Sites: Lit2Go

July 14, 2010

When I was a kid back in the dark ages before mp3 players, and even before the Sony Walkman, I used to do a lot (and I mean a lot) of summer reading in the local library of my hometown. This included all of Andrew Lang’s Fairy Books like The Blue Fairy Book. You can imagine my delight when I ran across the University of South Florida’s Lit2G0 website as this includes stories from most of Lang’s “colored” compilations of fairy tales in mp3 format along with pdfs of the passages that are read. Additionally, or even better, you can go to iTunes U (you must have the  iTunes application on your computer that can be downloaded from Apple) and download the stories directly to your music library for free.
