Go to the A Brief History of Auburn University from 1856 to 1983. These short narrative chapters describe life on campus beginning with the establishment of the East Alabama Male College in 1856 and passes through both World Wars, economic good (and bad) times and then finally ending with  Auburn University presidents Ralph Draughon, Harry Philpott and Hanly Funderburk.

Here’s a fun Auburn University collection: Auburn Football Programs that contains over fifty Auburn football program covers from the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s.

The Auburn University Photographs Collection begins in the late 19th century and includes photographs  from the holdings of the Auburn University Special Collections and Archives Department.

Former Journalism professors Mickey Logue and Jack Simms provided selected images and captions from Auburn: The Loveliest Village Photograph Collection , 2nd edition (Auburn, Ala.: s.n., 1996), that illustrate the history of the city and campus.
