Communications Channel added to AUAccess

A couple of weeks ago I talked about the MyLibraries Tab on AUAccess. Well there is now a Communications channel that you can add.

Here are the directions for adding the channel:

[1] Login to AUAccess

[2] Click the ‘Libraries’ tab

[3]Click “Content/Layout” link at the top left corner of the AUAccess page

[4] Click the “Add Channel” button in the column where you want to add the Communication Guide

[5] Under Select a category, click the down arrow and choose “Default Tabs” (Click Go)and the “Library” as the sub-category ( Click “Go”)

[6] Choose a “AULibraries: Communication Guide”

[8] Click “Add Channel” button

[9] Click “back to Libraries Tab” link in the top left corner of the AUAccess page

Cool Tools: Scribd & iPaper

Scridb : “(skribb’d) is a free, web-based self-publishing platform and document exchange community that enables anyone to easily publish, distribute, share, and discover electronic books, documents, presentations, newsletters, photo albums, and more…” With Scribd you can publish and distribute your own electronic books and documents in a variety of formats – for free. It’s also a source of community generated content.

iPaper, a part of Scribd, works on almost any computer and will display documents in the same way regardless of whether you’re using Windows, MacOS, or Linux. It lets you convert just about any major document format into iPaper, including Word and OpenOffice documents, PowerPoint, PDFs or PostScript files.
