Literature Resource Center: A Source for Radio, Film, Television & Broadcasting Research Articles

September 27, 2008

Although it now makes sense, I never thought to direct students and faculty members to Gales’ Literature Resource Center (login required) for information on journalists, writers and/or directors for the fields of radio, film or television. Doing some quick searches, you can search using the “Person Search”, I was able to find information on the directors Martin Scorsese and Leni Riefenstahl; the journalists Edward R. Murrow and Eric Severeid, and the television writer/directors Joss Whedon, J. Michael Straczynski and Stephen Fry among others. Much of the information is reproduced from the print series Contemporary Literary Criticism (CLC). Besides the CLC materials there are critical essays, biographical sketches, book and movie reviews along with selected transcripts of radio programs like NPR’s Weekend Edition.
